About Affinity Benefits Affinity Benefits partners with associations, chambers, PEOs, and member organizations across the country to bring their members access to competitive, flexible group health programs. We help groups as small as a single employee get access to benefit packages usually reserved for larger companies.
The Opportunity This role starts as a Member Closer — working warm leads from association and organization members who are already interested in enrolling, guiding them through underwriting and enrollment, and closing the sale. As you build experience and results, you’ll grow into prospecting and developing new association partnerships, opening entirely new member pipelines and expanding your own book of business with substantially higher earning potential.
Ideal Candidate
- Active Health & Life insurance license
- Employee benefits or group health experience preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable guiding clients through enrollment
- Motivated by performance-based compensation
- Interested in growing into business development
This role provides an opportunity to begin with warm member opportunities before growing into developing new association partnerships and building your own book of business.
What You’ll Do (Phase 1) Member Closer
- Work inbound and warm leads generated from association/member partnerships
- Walk members through the enrollment and underwriting process (PHQs for small groups, census submission for larger ones)
- Close sales and hand off to our account management team for ongoing service
- Learn Affinity’s products, partners, and sales process hands-on
What You’ll Do (Phase 2) Successful advisors who consistently meet enrollment goals have the opportunity to transition into developing new association partnerships and build their own long-term book of business.
- Identify and pursue new association, chamber, and PEO partnerships
- Build relationships with association leadership to bring Affinity’s health programs to their membership
- Own the full sales cycle from partnership pitch to member enrollment
What We’re Looking For
- Active Health & Life insurance license (required)
- Entry-level to 2 years sales experience — motivated and coachable
- Strong communicator, comfortable on the phone and closing deals
- Driven by commission — you want your income tied to your effort
