Job Summary
Service, repair, or program the security systems and other related equipment by following the blueprints of building plans and electrical layouts.
Job Duties

Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning.

Maintain or repair security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment

Respond to customer service request calls
-
Troubleshoot, diagnose problem and develop solution
-
Prepare and gather supplies and equipment for each day’s work
-
Read and follow blueprints of home or building plans and electrical layouts
-
Communicate with customer to discuss the problem and solution.
-
Conduct inventory of equipment in service truck
-
Drill holes for wiring in the wall studs, ceilings, and floors
-
Pull cables through success holes, cavity walls, and roof spaces to reach outlets
-
Keep service truck organized and clean inside and out
-
Report service truck issues, accidents, tickets, etc.
-
Performs inspections of burglary and fire alarm systems
Requirements:

Physical Requirements

Work may be performed in a field environment, including exposure to adverse weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Frequent walking, crawling, climbing, bending, kneeling, and manual handling, including use of hands and fingers, is required.
