Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning and custodial teams in delivering exceptional cleanliness and hospitality standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, floor care, and janitorial tasks, ensuring all areas meet established standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to optimize performance and uphold safety procedures
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, placing orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Implement industrial cleaning techniques when necessary for deep cleans or specialized tasks
- Develop schedules that maximize team productivity while accommodating hotel occupancy levels and special events
- Promote a culture of hospitality by fostering teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong background in cleaning techniques, including floor care and industrial cleaning methods
- Extensive janitorial or custodial experience with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service expectations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate teams effectively
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to industrial cleaning equipment and chemical handling
