Job Summary
We’re looking for an energetic and organized Farmers Market and Festivals Manager to lead our off site event initiatives. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind planning, coordinating, and executing our farmers markets and community festivals. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a flair for event marketing and hospitality, ready to create engaging experiences that showcase our local produce and wines while ensuring smooth operations.
Duties
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote farmers markets and festival events, attracting diverse audiences.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including vendor arrangements, setup, logistics, and entertainment.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, entertainers, and service providers to secure favorable terms.
- Oversee event budgeting, ensuring expenses stay within limits while delivering high-quality experiences.
- Manage onsite event operations, including guest services, vendor relations, and safety protocols.
- Upsell products or services during events to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and leverage social media for event awareness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or management within hospitality, catering, or festival environments.
- Strong negotiation skills to establish beneficial contracts with vendors and partners.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate multiple facets of events seamlessly.
- Ability to manage time effectively under tight deadlines while overseeing various projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of marketing techniques, especially in promoting outdoor events and festivals.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management for large-scale events.
