Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Repair or replace defective parts using welding techniques, <LOCATION> welding skills, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory levels.
- Conduct field service activities involving the use of scissor lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to access hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams when needed to support customer service efforts by providing technical expertise on machinery performance and maintenance solutions.
- Follow safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, HVAC/R systems, and other specialized tasks in accordance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar manufacturing facility role with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems (low voltage and high voltage), and troubleshooting tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and industrial electrician practices.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients during field service activities.
- Relevant certifications or experience in military maintenance or industrial electrician roles is a plus.
