Frank's Detail (FD Reconditioning Specialist) is a prominent provider of vehicle reconditioning services to the wholesale auto auction industry, committed to quality and customer satisfaction.
Summary
The “SHINE Lane Lead” is the on-lane enforcer and emerging leader of the Detail Shop production floor. This role owns one or more assigned lanes end-to-end, drives daily production targets, enforces SHINE standards in real time, and serves as the primary Manager-in-training. When the Shop Manager is absent, the Lane Lead steps in and runs the entire shop like it’s their own—zero excuses, zero drop in velocity. This is not a “check cars and chill” job; it’s the proving ground for future Detail Shop Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production Ownership & Pace: Hit or exceed daily lane goals
- SHINE & SOP Enforcement: Circulate lanes continuously; coach/correct team on SHINE SOP's
- Quality Control Leadership: Final eyes on every vehicle exiting your lane
- Leadership & Manager Shadowing: Lead by example: first in, last out, highest energy, loudest communication.
- Systems & Reporting: Trained and proficient on AS400, OCC, and LotVision for real-time pulse.
- Daily End-of-Shift Reporting
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
✅ Minimum 1 year high-volume auto detailing experience (auction or dealership preferred)
✅ 6+ months prior QC or lead tech experience strongly preferred
✅ Proven track record of urgency, coaching peers, and zero drama
✅ Clean & Valid State Driver’s License
✅ Flexible scheduling—weekends, Sundays, and sale-day overtime mandatory
✅ Physical: stand/walk 8–10 hours, work in heat/wet conditions, lift 50 lbs repeatedly
✅ Tech: comfortable learning AS400, OCC, LotVision, Smartsheet on day one
✅ 100% daily submission of the SHINE Lane Lead End-of-Shift Report (zero exceptions)
