SENSE Charter School is seeking a passionate and dedicated ENL Teacher to join our team.
The ELL Teacher is responsible for supporting students whose primary language is not English in developing proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The teacher designs and delivers instruction that promotes English language acquisition while helping students access grade-level content and succeed academically.

Provide direct instruction in English language development (ELD) aligned with state standards

Assess students’ English proficiency levels and monitor progress regularly

Develop and implement individualized or small-group instructional plans

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support ELL students in general education settings

Adapt curriculum, materials, and assessments to meet language needs

Use research-based strategies (e.g., sheltered instruction, scaffolding, differentiation)

Maintain accurate records of student performance, progress, and compliance documentation

Communicate regularly with families, including those with limited English proficiency

Participate in IEP, MTSS, or student support meetings as needed

Support cultural responsiveness and inclusive classroom environments

Develop and support ILP plans utilizing student data.

Bachelor’s degree in Education with and ENL endorsement or license

Valid state teaching license or ability to obtain
