Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop customized treatment plans
- Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment
- Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health, and pain management strategies
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and session notes using appropriate medical terminology
- Ensure all equipment and treatment areas adhere to safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist in a medical spa or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Skilled in various massage techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic massage
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and pain management strategies
- Prior experience working with diverse client populations is a plus
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program is required
