Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure physical security measures are in place
- Operate access control systems to authorize entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across the site and respond swiftly to any security concerns
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of screening procedures
- Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical incidents, or conflict situations
- Manage emergency response procedures such as AED operation, CPR, Taser deployment (where authorized), and fire extinguisher use
- Enforce security regulations and conduct thorough inspections to prevent theft or unauthorized access
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as military or law enforcement is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and manual handling techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with emergency response procedures is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical security tasks safely and effectively
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally
- Excellent written communication skills for incident report writing and documentation
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance with security regulations and protocols
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, patrol large areas, and perform manual handling tasks as needed
