Master Plumbing & Heating is looking for a motivated Plumbing & HVAC Apprentice who wants to learn a skilled trade, work with an outstanding team, and build a long-term career.
You do not need years of experience. You do need a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, mechanical ability, and the willingness to learn.
This is not a dead-end helper position. You will receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced plumbing and HVAC professionals on residential and light commercial projects throughout Southern Vermont. The right person will have a clear path toward becoming a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, lead installer, or service technician.
What You Will Do
- Assist with plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, heat pump, boiler, and water-heating installations
- Learn how to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential mechanical systems
- Work alongside experienced technicians who will teach you the trade
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment
- Load, organize, and maintain tools and materials
- Keep job sites, vehicles, and work areas clean and professional
- Communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Follow company procedures, safety standards, and local building codes
- Document work accurately using company-provided technology
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development

- Can handle physical work in all seasons and jobsite conditions

- Has a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Can pass required background and drug screenings
Previous construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, automotive, military, farming, maintenance, or mechanical experience is helpful but not required.
We are especially interested in candidates who have demonstrated commitment and excellence through work, athletics, military service, technical education, skilled hobbies, or other demanding pursuits.
