Responsibilities
- Safely operate tandem dump truck
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs (trucking tickets), route documentation, and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit
- Occasional work on weekends and nights
Requirements
- Valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- 2 years of verifiable experience required
- Experience in driving tandem dump trucks and paving preferred
- Mist be able to pass pre employment drug screening per DOT regulations
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers
