Job Description:
Cougar Mountain Baking Company is looking for reliable individuals to join our production crew in crafting premium cookies and cookie dough. We are seeking team members who enjoy an active, fast-paced environment and take pride in contributing to a high-quality product. While previous experience with machinery or production lines is a plus, we are happy to train anyone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Production Worker Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Learn to operate dough portioning equipment, commercial ovens, and various packaging machinery, including horizontal flow wrappers and lidding machines.
- Quality Handling: Remove fresh cookies from baking pans and stage them efficiently for packaging.
- Packaging & Fulfillment: Efficiently prepare products for shipment by labeling, sealing, and palletizing finished goods to ensure they are ready for distribution.
- Facility Care: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe work area to ensure the highest food safety standards.
Schedule & Environment
- Consistent Weekly Routine: Enjoy a steady four-day work week (Tuesday through Friday).
- Standard Hours: Shifts run from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM (End times may vary slightly based on the day’s production needs).
- Holiday Coverage: Occasional Monday shifts may be required during peak seasons or to cover holidays.
Requirements
- Active Nature: Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and comfortably lift up to 35lbs as part of your daily routine.
- Rhythm & Pace: Capability to work at a steady, productive speed that maintains the flow of the production line.
- Professionalism: A positive attitude, receptiveness to feedback, and a commitment to being reliable and punctual.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for quality and consistency in every product we produce.
- Background: Previous experience in a food environment is a plus but not required.
