The Intensive Outpatient Services (IOS) Psychotherapist is a key member of our multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health team, providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adolescents (currently ages 12-18) and their families. This Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. position provides individual, group, and family therapy, completes comprehensive diagnostic assessments, and develops individualized treatment plans within an intensive outpatient setting. The therapist collaborates closely with psychiatrists, mental health specialists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate care, monitor patient progress, and ensure safe, effective treatment and discharge planning. This role utilizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), to support patients with complex behavioral health needs while meeting Wisconsin DHS Chapter 40 standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about collaborative, team-based care, and committed to improving outcomes for adolescents and their families.

Required:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited program.

Minimum of one year prior work experience as mental health care provider with children and adolescents in a clinical ambulatory or inpatient setting.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Skilled in collecting diagnostic information.

Skilled in evidence-based psychotherapy interventions.

Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population, including using an interpreter for some visits.

Strong personal interaction and communication skills.

Ability to document in an EHR effectively and succinctly.

Excellent time management skills.

Flexible in responding to the changing needs of the organization.

Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgement, and problem-solving skills.

CPI Training within 90 days of hire.

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
