Assist in supervising the medication program, activity in medication room and dispensing medications to residents. Assists with the self-administration of medications to residents and maintains related health file
Complete documentation required on MAR, Resident Observation Notes, 24-hour Report, Weight Chart, Incident/Illness Reports, and other resident files as required by policy
Assist with routine measurement and recording of basic vital functions. Records basic vital functions of residents
Fax orders to pharmacy when received by health care provider as required
Review MARS and med carts on a daily basis to ensure medications are available as ordered by physician. Review MARS to ensure medications are dispensed according to physician’s order
Supervise residents taking of medication in accordance with policy and procedures
Report to the resident care director, or in their absence, or Executive Director any adverse reactions to medication or change in resident condition. Report any incidents and/or changes with the residents needs to the resident care director.
Record & restock medication as required
Assist resident with activities of daily living as needed. Provides assistance and/or supervision with activities of daily living as requested by residents and directed by the resident’s service log
Ensure residents are brought down to the dining room
Observe resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies resident care director or executive director
Conduct periodic rounds to monitor resident’s welfare
Assist with emergency/evacuation of residents, attends to all life-threatening situations, is familiar with emergency procedures, and participates in fire drills as required
Promote and encourage residents to participate in activities
Assist with emergency care to residents
Assist in the training of assisted living staff and participates in orientation/training of new staff.
Promote teamwork among coworkers by helping without being asked, demonstrating flexibility and accepting reassignment.
· Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to identify unexpected patterns and trends
Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA other federal, state and local standards and company attendance policies and procedures
Ensures building exterior doors are locked at 8:00 pm.
Ability to come to work and work the regular schedule and shift for the position
Compliance with all personnel policies and procedures
Perform related and other duties as assigned
Attends all required in-services, department & staff meetings. Assists in the evacuation of residents
All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Hours and days may change from week-to-week as needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
