POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This position will manage and execute overall logistics activities- including loading/unloading operations, shipping & receiving, driver scheduling, load planning, material staging, inventory control and tool tracking for commercial construction projects.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/TASKS:
· create, manage and maintain driver schedules/assignments
· create, manage and maintain S&R personnel schedules/assignments
· create load plans for daily shipments
· oversee staging and loading materials for daily deliveries- using forklift, pallet jack, etc.
· manage receiving process- complete with incoming material inspections, verification and labeling
· manage shipping process- complete with outgoing load inspections, verification and labeling
· ensure material documentation is accurately recorded and distributed
· manage inventory levels, reorders and physical counts
· maintain shipping & receiving records in smartsheet
· ensure all logistics personnel is up to date with training, certifications and badging as required
· maintain a clean, organized material staging area at each warehouse
· identify areas of improvement within the logistics department
· Other duties may be assigned

KEY EXPECTATIONS:
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints/drawings
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups or clients or employees of the organization.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
· ability to read and interpret measuring tape
KEY CRITERIA/REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in S&R, logistics and warehouse management in a supervisory position
· reasonable knowledge of dot regulations
· forklift certification- must be able to obtain within 30 days
· Possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
· Ability to pass a background and drug screen
· stand, sit, walk, lift and bend for extended periods
· lift up to 50 lbs
