Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to adults and seniors across a range of needs and abilities. Duties
- Provide attentive personal care to adult and senior clients, supporting their physical, emotional, and daily living needs with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients take prescribed medications on schedule; document administration as required and report any concerns to supervising healthcare staff
- Monitor clients for any adverse medication reactions or changes in condition and communicate promptly with family members or healthcare providers
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that support cognitive stimulation, social connection, and emotional well-being
- Support individuals with disabilities, chronic conditions, or age-related limitations by assisting with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks while encouraging as much independence as possible
- Apply appropriate behavioral and communication strategies to support clients experiencing cognitive decline, dementia, or mental health challenges
- Maintain a safe home environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including fall prevention and first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and team members to develop and follow personalized care plans that meet each individual’s unique needs
Experience
- Prior experience in adult caregiving, home health aide work, assisted living, memory care, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of aging, chronic illness, disability, and the physical and emotional needs of adult clients
- Hands-on experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) for elderly or disabled adults is strongly advantageous
- Experience with medication management or administration, including familiarity with medication logs and protocols, is preferred
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or other age-related conditions is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; willingness to obtain certification is welcomed
- Experience working with adults with physical or cognitive disabilities enhances your suitability for this role
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with clients and their families
