Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Valid state radiography license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IR Tech role, with strong knowledge of angiography, venipuncture, and image-guided interventions.
- Thorough understanding of infection control, radiation safety, and sterile technique.
- Proven ability to operate advanced imaging equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with a variety of interventional procedures (including vascular, neuro, and body interventions) using fluoroscopy and specialized imaging equipment.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring strict adherence to safety and infection prevention protocols.
- Accurately position patients and operate imaging consoles to capture optimal images.
- Monitor patient condition pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, advocating for safety and comfort at every step.
- Document all procedures, supply usage, and patient records diligently and in accordance with facility policy.
- Perform required equipment checks, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Educate patients regarding procedures and post-procedural expectations.
