This opportunity is available immediately for an experienced order entry/prescription processing and filling pharmacy technician. Candidates should possess the following:
- Current, active TX license
- Strong data entry skills using Pioneer RX
- At least 3 years of technician experience
- At least 3 years of order entry technician experience
- Comfortable working in a high performance expectation environment
- Pioneer Rx experience required
- Bilingual English and Spanish is required
- Must be able to cover a 40 hour per week day shift

Lead Pharmacy Technician Job Purpose: The Lead Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in Charge by assisting with daily pharmacy operations, technician workflow, training, and pharmacy system support while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
- Maintains daily pharmacy workflow alongside the Pharmacist in Charge.
- Performs all technician duties including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer service.
- Organizes daily priorities to support efficient pharmacy operations.
- Maintains compliance with pharmacy policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.
- Assists with inventory ordering, pharmacy software updates, and workflow improvements.
- Participates in quality assurance activities to ensure accurate prescription processing and patient safety.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Works independently while supporting overall pharmacy operations as part of a small pharmacy team.
Lead Pharmacy Technician Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages daily pharmacy technician workflow alongside the Pharmacist in Charge.
- Performs prescription processing, data entry, filling, labeling, and checkout duties.
- Maintains medication inventory, ordering, stocking, and expired medication checks.
- Provides professional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Ensures compliance with pharmacy policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety procedures.
- Assists with pharmacy software functions and workflow efficiency.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment.
- Works independently to support smooth day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/certification as required by state law.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently as part of a small pharmacy team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks including typing, reaching, and bending.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
