Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and Location welding techniques with precision and adherence to ASME codes & standards.
- Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment.
- Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and weld structural components for manufacturing or construction projects.
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely for lifting heavy materials or assemblies.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments; maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering, and <LOCATION> welding.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, micrometers, calipers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures involving cranes and forklifts for material handling.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for fabrication accuracy.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes involving assembly of components according to specifications.
