Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk $20.00
Hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the company’s outgoing financial obligations by ensuring invoices are accurately processed, approved, and paid in a timely manner. This role supports the accounting department by maintaining organized financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
- Obtain proper approvals for invoices prior to payment
- Prepare and process electronic payments
- Maintain accurate vendor files and records
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
- Maintain accounts payable aging reports
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
