Winning Imprints & Custom Trophies is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Commercial Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team.
This is a hands-on position operating our commercial embroidery equipment to decorate polos, jackets, hats, bags, uniforms, and other apparel and accessories.
Previous commercial embroidery experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. We’re looking for someone who is patient, comfortable working with equipment, pays close attention to details, and takes pride in producing quality work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and operate our commercial multi-head embroidery machine, including hooping garments, loading thread, and preparing orders for production
- Monitor the machine during production and handle routine issues such as thread breaks, bobbin changes, and needle changes
- Follow work orders carefully to ensure correct designs, thread colors, placement, garments, and quantities
- Inspect finished embroidery for quality, trim and finish garments, and prepare completed items for packing or fulfillment
- Perform basic machine cleaning and maintenance and keep the embroidery area, supplies, and customer orders organized
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Reliable and punctual
- Patient and comfortable performing precise, repetitive work
- Comfortable operating and learning production equipment
- Able to follow written production instructions carefully
- Good at noticing small differences in placement, color, alignment, and quality
- Organized and able to keep multiple customer orders separated
- Able to troubleshoot basic problems and know when to ask for help
- Comfortable working independently once trained
- Willing to take responsibility for the quality of the finished product
Experience
Commercial embroidery experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with multi-head embroidery machines, garment decoration, sewing machines, manufacturing equipment, production work, or other hands-on machinery would be especially helpful.
This position does not require embroidery digitizing or graphic design experience. The primary responsibility is preparing garments and operating the embroidery equipment using designs that have already been prepared for production.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand for extended periods
- Use hands for detailed work, including threading needles and hooping garments
- Bend, reach, and move around production equipment
- Lift and move boxes of apparel and supplies
- Perform repetitive motions associated with garment preparation and finishing
This is an in-person position.
