Qualifications:
- California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential required
- Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English
- Previous experience as a school social worker or in educational settings preferred
- Deep understanding of early elementary (TK-5) child development and family systems
- Strong communication, cultural competence, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social–emotional, behavioral, and mental health support to students in both Spanish and English
- Conduct group and individual counseling for students, responding to academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community organizations
- Participate in student assistance programs and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop and implement intervention and prevention strategies tailored to at-risk students
- Advocate for equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices within the school
- Support teachers and staff by offering resources and consultation for classroom management and crisis response
