JOB TITLE: RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Reconstruction Project Manager oversees residential and commercial reconstruction projects from start to finish following water, fire, or storm damage. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability in every project. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact between the customer, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and Servpro leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
- Manage multiple reconstruction projects simultaneously from scope to completion.
- Prepare, review, and approve estimates, work orders, and budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Servpro’s quality standards.
- Schedule and coordinate trades, materials, and equipment to meet timelines.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress, address concerns, and ensure compliance with specifications.
Client & Insurance Relations
- Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners, adjusters, and insurance representatives.
- Communicate project timelines, updates, and changes clearly and professionally.
- Obtain and manage insurance approvals, change orders, and payment authorizations.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and positive reviews.
Financial Accountability
- Review job costs, budgets, and profitability reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Secure timely payments and manage invoices and subcontractor billing.
- Ensure gross profit goals are met or exceeded on all jobs.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with internal estimators, coordinators, and field teams to maintain workflow and documentation accuracy.
- Provide clear direction and accountability for subcontractors and trade partners.
- Participate in production meetings and communicate effectively with office staff.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all safety standards, building codes, and Servpro policies are followed.
- Maintain detailed job files, photos, change orders, and customer sign-offs.
- Complete required documentation for insurance carriers, including certificates of completion.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in residential or commercial construction project management (insurance restoration preferred).
- Proficiency with Xactimate, XactAnalysis, and construction project management tools.
- Strong understanding of insurance restoration processes, estimating, and billing.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret scopes, drawings, and estimates.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and navigate active job sites.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work as project needs arise.
