ELCON SERVICES INC is a small electrical contracting business in Hillsboro, KS. We're dedicated to our employees and powering homes and businesses in our community and around Kansas.
We are looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This position requires knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, the ability to read blueprints and diagrams, and experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be professional with a positive attitude and highly skilled, and the have the ability to work independently and to lead apprentices on service calls and/or contract jobs.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and identify solutions
- Inspect electrical systems for compliance with safety regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical documents
- Install conduit, wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Test electrical systems for proper functioning
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrical License
- Applicable knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and the National Electric Code
- Commitment to following best electrical practices and important safety regulations and policies
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with apprentices to train them
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
