About the Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Property Management Office Assistant to join our team. This is an administrative support role—not a leasing agent position. You will assist with the day-to-day operations of our property management office by coordinating tenant communications, processing leasing paperwork, and providing support for accounts payable.
Responsibilities
- Process rental applications and send background and credit checks
- Prepare and send lease agreements
- Coordinate utility transfers for move-ins and move-outs
- Communicate with current and prospective tenants by phone, email, and text
- Maintain and update daily vacancy lists
- Assist with move-in and move-out coordination
- Upload and organize electronic documents
- Perform data entry and administrative support for the Accounts Payable department
- Answer incoming calls and provide general office support
- Assist the property management team with daily administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Previous office or administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Experience with AppFolio Property Manager is highly preferred
- Property management or accounts payable experience is a plus but not required
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
