We’re looking for a full-time hygienist to join our team. Our office hours are Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a daily lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00.
While we maintain a busy schedule, we are a small, close-knit team that values integrity, compassion, professionalism and exceptional patient care. We take pride in creating a welcoming environment where every patient is treated like family.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend, ensuring detailed documentation of treatments and assessments
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures
- Experience with dental aseptic technique
- Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and pediatric patient care approaches
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical coding, and review of medical records accurately
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix Ascend for documentation review and recordkeeping
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and documentation review

Pay: From $48.00 per hour
