Otto Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead crews installing pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. We're looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safety, and knows how to motivate a crew to get the job done right.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead field crews on commercial metal building projects.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Install structural steel, metal roofing, wall panels, trim, gutters, and related components.
- Train and mentor crew members.
- Maintain a safe job site and enforce OSHA safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, customers, and subcontractors.
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials on site.
- Complete daily reports and communicate project progress.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience, preferably with pre-engineered metal buildings.
- Previous foreman or crew leadership experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
- Experience operating lifts, telehandlers, and other construction equipment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout SC and NC as projects require.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Welding or structural steel experience
- CDL is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Climb ladders and work from aerial lifts.
- Stand, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work extended hours when project schedules require.
