TITLE: Night-time House Manager
SUPERVISOR: Program Director
*This position is Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and every other weekend from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Night-time House Manager must stay on the premises Monday through Friday but may be permitted to leave on weekends. This is a non-exempt position with a maximum of 80 hours per pay period at $16 per hour. Overtime must be approved in advance by management.

Areas of Responsibility:
The position’s primary responsibilities include maintenance and program support. The Resident House Manager reports directly to the Program Director. The House Manager shall be responsible for overseeing the operation of Rescue Us Transitional House. She shall perform such related work as required by the Executive Director and Program Director.
Position Summary: Rescue Us is seeking a mature woman to fill a House Manager position responsible for supporting Rescue Us’s residential program serving survivors of human trafficking. The house manager is the person who upholds house policies; lends an ear and patiently guides each woman; resolves conflict between residents, requests supplies, and orients new residents. This position is a key position in affecting life change in the resident’s lives.
DUTIES:
- Assist in the orientation and training process of each new survivor resident.
- Engage residents weekly in activities including but not limited to: Meditation, book club, outings, movies, cooking, self-care, exercise, and other practices for coping.
- Help residents to develop and update short-term and long-term goals.
- Plan grocery lists together. Residents are encouraged to eat a healthy diet. The House Manager will ensure that meals are prepared (with residents) and eaten at appropriate times to provide a home-like atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness of the house, ensuring all residents are taking part in household chores.
- Resolve resident complaints, whenever possible. If an emergency appears to be life threatening, call 911 first, then call the Executive Director. Report any issues considered to be a problem that occur during your operating hours. (Complete Incident Form and Incident Log)
- Transport residents to appointments, the grocery store, and any other activities outside of the home.
- Daily written report.

- Maintain professionalism and boundaries with residents, community members, staff and the general public.
- Reinforce program and case management goals.
- Serve as a contributing staff member by participating in staff meetings as well as training and development opportunities.
- Work as a team with all other staff to provide comprehensive client services.
- Encourage residents to maintain a cooperative attitude toward the program and to one another.
- Support residential programs in providing seamless coverage.
- Coordinate household activities such as chores, menu planning and cooking.
- Responsible for the general safety, overall cleanliness and well-being of the residents and facility.
- Document daily activities of the home and its residents. Make other staff aware of potential patterns, issues or situations.
- Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution and related support services to residents.
- Respond quickly to on-call notifications.
