Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of accounting and administrative functions including accounts payable and receivable ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across operations. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial integrity. Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices by matching invoices to receiving documents and purchase orders, ensuring approval, and verifying correct coding in accounting system.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and expense reports.
- Set up new vendors, complete credit aps, maintain vendor documentation including W-9s.
- Communicate with vendors, managers, and receiving to resolve any invoicing or payment issues.
- Prepare open invoice report for payment approval and process all check and ACH payments.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements and research outstanding charges.
- Assist with audit and tax reporting as needed including submitting requested records and issuing 1099 forms.
- Generate and post various accrual journal entries as requested.
- Process cash receipts and maintain customer accounts.
- Set up new customers, process credit aps, and maintain customer documentation.
- Communicate with customers and sales team to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Ensure customer payments are kept current and past due accounts are resolved.
- Process intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Assist with month end close, governmental & state board reporting, process 3rd party commissions, and maintain accounting databases as requested.
- Provide back-up and perform other tasks as needed in the Accounting Department.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have an associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent accounting work experience.
- A desire to improve processes and develop efficiencies in the department.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office Skills.
- Proficient with Accounting and ERP Software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to interact well with people.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
