Job Summary
We are seeking a recent tech school graduate and/or someone with a few years of experience who is a detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machining will ensure that products meet strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining equipment such as lathes and milling machines, ensuring precise execution of manufacturing specifications.
- Programming experience is a plus.
- Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize machining performance.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to verify parts against specifications.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform manual machining or grinding as needed to meet production deadlines.
Skills
- Experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, willing to train the right individual.
- Ability to use manual machining tools including grinders, hand tools, power tools, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to metal machining processes and tooling selection.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and conversions.
- Experience with manufacturing quality control procedures including measurement in quality control environments.
