American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring telemetry experience and an active TN or compact RN license for a 13-week night shift contract.

Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting

Patient ratio of 1:7

Telemetry monitoring required for patient population

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
-
36-hour work week schedule
-
Every other weekend required
-
Rotating holiday coverage required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating to other units required
-
Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
-
AHA BLS certification required (AHA only — other providers not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Med/Surg and telemetry experience required

Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area — no local candidates accepted

Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)

Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
