Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hardwood Specialist / Finish Carpenter to join our growing team. In this role, you will expertly install, finish, and restore hardwood flooring, cabinetry, millwork, and custom woodwork across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your craftsmanship will directly enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of our clients’ spaces, ensuring every detail meets high standards of precision, durability, and design intent.

About the Role
As part of Scout’s fit‑and‑finish team, you’ll work hands-on across hardwood flooring, cabinetry, millwork, interior doors, box beams, cladding, and full architectural hardwood packages. This role blends craftsmanship, technical skill, and pride in doing things the right way.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install hardwood flooring, cabinetry, trim, molding, and custom wood features with precision
- Perform sanding, staining, sealing, caulking, and polishing to achieve smooth, flawless finishes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, repairing imperfections, and ensuring proper conditions for finishing
- Operate a variety of hand tools (saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, sanders) safely and confidently
- Install interior doors, box beams, cladding, and other hardwood architectural elements
- Follow construction site safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and safe material handling
- Support full fit‑and‑finish workflows from design intent to final installation
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to maintain timelines, quality standards, and on‑site safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
