Construction Administration Project drawing set-up Field investigations Picking up red marks Fixture knowledge. Able to create a fixture design book for client review. Plumbing Specification writing Plumbing schematics, One line riser diagrams. Domestic Hot Water return loop design. Medical Gas system design. Domestic water, Waste and Vent systems Sizing, Layout, Design Self-directed and motivated worker. Works even when the boss is not looking. 2D AutoCAD drawing. 3D Revit model drawing. Qualifications 10+ years’ experience in Plumbing design and understanding of commercial type Plumbing systems. PE a plus, not required.. Healthcare experience a plus AutoCAD and/or Revit experience. Field experience/knowledge required. Able to visit and walk existing project sites for renovation projects. Analyze existing conditions. Identify systems in the field.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed plumbing system designs using schematic drawings, blueprints, and CAD software.
- Interpret construction documents, schematics, and technical drawings to create accurate plumbing layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate plumbing systems into overall project plans.
- Perform construction estimating related to plumbing components and installation costs.
- Provide technical guidance during construction, field service, and remodeling projects.
- Review and approve plumbing shop drawings and fabrication details.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex plumbing issues on-site or during project planning phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Support project managers with material specifications, pipe threading details, and installation sequences.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction plumbing, schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, maintenance, and remodeling projects.
- Experience with construction estimating and understanding of construction site operations.
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical diagrams accurately.
- Familiarity with carpentry, assembly work, heavy lifting, and general handyman skills.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations is a plus for site visits or material transport.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
