We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle department with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
- Lead and motivate the used car sales team to meet and exceed monthly sales goals through active coaching, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract high-end clients and expand the dealership’s B2B (business-to-business) sales network.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting cold calls and outbound sales efforts to closing deals with both retail customers and corporate clients.
- Oversee inventory control and management, ensuring optimal stock levels of high-quality used vehicles aligned with market demand.
- Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to track leads, follow-ups, customer interactions, and sales activities efficiently.
- Conduct negotiations with customers and B2B partners, employing strong negotiation skills to upsell vehicles and secure favorable terms.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette, clear communication skills, and professional public speaking abilities to represent the dealership confidently in various settings.
- Support the sales team with inventory presentations, deal structuring, and customer service excellence to foster repeat business.
- Monitor retail math metrics such as gross profit per unit, closing ratios, and overall dealership profitability to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that highlight used vehicle offerings and special deals.
Experience
- Proven experience in dealership or automobile sales management with a focus on used cars or high-end vehicle sales.
- Strong background in outside sales, B2B sales, cold calling, and building long-term client relationships.
- Demonstrated success in inventory management, retail math calculations, and inventory control strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Familiarity with CRM software platforms used in automotive retail environments.
- Exceptional communication skills including public speaking, phone etiquette, and customer service expertise.
