About the Position
We are seeking a professional, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our law firm on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an interest in the legal profession and would like to gain valuable experience working in a professional law firm environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our attorneys and office staff and will assist with the day-to-day administrative operations of the firm.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, learns quickly, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will assist with a wide range of daily office and administrative responsibilities, including:
- Managing and organizing incoming and outgoing emails
- Answering and directing telephone calls in a professional manner
- Receiving, opening, sorting, and distributing mail
- Scanning, copying, organizing, and electronically saving documents
- Maintaining organized electronic and physical files
- Preparing documents and correspondence as directed
- Assisting attorneys and staff with general administrative tasks
- Entering and maintaining information in office systems
- Accurately recording and billing time for administrative tasks performed
- Assisting with scheduling and general office coordination
- Handling confidential client and firm information with discretion
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional telephone and email etiquette
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Previous administrative or law firm experience is preferred but not required
- An interest in the legal field is strongly preferred
