Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities across various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, enabling effective treatment for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from acute or post-acute care. Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored occupational therapy plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions in inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, home health, or school settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transition across care levels.
- Work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to enhance motor skills and adaptive behaviors.
- Document patient progress accurately within electronic health records while adhering to compliance standards.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to manage conditions effectively post-treatment.
- Participate in case management activities to monitor ongoing needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Support early intervention programs by providing therapy services for infants and young children.
- Contribute to occupational health initiatives within corporate or industrial environments.
Experience
- Proven experience working in acute care settings such as ICU or hospital wards.
- Demonstrated expertise in pediatrics, geriatrics, outpatient clinics, or skilled nursing facilities.
- Familiarity with post-acute care environments including rehabilitation centers and home health services.
- Prior involvement in working with individuals with disabilities or developmental conditions like autism.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles.
- Experience developing comprehensive care plans aligned with individual goals and medical requirements.
- Background in speech therapy or related disciplines is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to adapt interventions across diverse populations including inpatient, outpatient, school-based, or community settings. #IND1

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
