Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate a bus or other transportation vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers during transit, providing assistance as needed.
- Educate passengers about safety protocols and proper behavior while on the bus.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Manage passenger behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and safe environment for all riders.
- Communicate clearly with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any changes.
- Document daily activities, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service is highly valued; experience in senior care or childcare settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with paratransit services is beneficial for understanding the unique needs of diverse passengers.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are advantageous for effective communication with a broader range of passengers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential for documentation and interaction with passengers.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; additional certifications may be necessary depending on the specific transportation needs.
