Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Assist in food preparation and serving food items according to quality standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety.
Experience
- Prior experience as a Barista or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with café operations.
- Knowledge of coffee industry standards, including beverage preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS for sales processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations, and managing transactions accurately.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food preparation procedures in a retail or café environment.
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
