Job Summary
Kwik Kar on University is seeking a customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our fast-paced quick lube. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will ensure a seamless experience for clients while maximizing service opportunities.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software, including auto estimating and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines clearly to customers, ensuring transparency and trust
- Upsell services such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, A/C services, and other automotive repairs
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain accurate documentation of all customer interactions, service orders, and cash handling procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients about vehicle diagnostics results and recommended repairs while fostering excellent customer service relationships
Experience
- Proven automotive service service background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics
- Experience using estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Hands-on experiene with AutoLeap shop management system
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, A/C service, shock & strut replacement, transmissions, et. al.
- Demonstrated ability in auto service sales and upselling techniques to increase revenue opportunities
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types confidently
