Our client located in Broadview Heights is looking for a Senior Professional Development Trainer. This is a direct hire!
This position designs, delivers, and maintains professional development and leadership training programs across the organization. This role requires advanced facilitation skills and experience working with leaders and teams, including the ability to provide individual and small-group coaching in support of development goals. The position focuses on ensuring professional development offerings are well integrated with other training efforts and delivered consistently at a high level. The Senior Professional Development Trainer serves as a mentor and lead resource within the professional development function while supporting the enterprise-wide learning strategy.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Design, deliver, and continuously improve professional development and leadership training programs, including advanced and flagship offerings
· Facilitate complex and high‑impact training sessions for leaders, managers, and experienced employees
· Provide individual or small‑group coaching to support leadership development, performance improvement, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
· Ensure professional development programs align and integrate effectively with other organizational training initiatives
· Partner with technical training, HR, and enterprise learning teams to coordinate content, timing, and learner experience
· Apply advanced instructional design and adult learning principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences
· Serve as a subject matter expert for professional development methodologies and facilitation best practices
· Mentor and coach Professional Development Trainers, including early‑career trainers and interns transitioning into trainer roles
· Provide guidance and feedback on facilitation skills, instructional design, and content delivery
· Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback and agreed‑upon metrics and recommend improvements
· Stay current on professional development and adult learning best practices and promote a culture of learning across the organization
· Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Training, Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field
· Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and leading professional development or training content
· Demonstrated experience facilitating advanced or multi‑session training programs
· Experience providing coaching or developmental support to leaders or employees
· Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions without direct authority
