Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and social development
- Follow established routines for feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to support consistent daily schedules
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns or updates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Apply child development principles to support emotional regulation and behavioral management in infants
- Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities aligned with early childhood education best practices
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants or young children in daycare, childcare centers, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-specific needs of infants
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR to ensure quick response in emergencies
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom routines with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques tailored for infants
