You’ll work one day per week (8 hours) at each of two elementary schools—one in Parker and the other in Franktown. Your primary focus will be on special education assessment, directly influencing positive outcomes for students and collaborating closely with faculty, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Colorado
- Experience conducting comprehensive special education assessments
- Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI), IEP processes, and current best practices in school psychology
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to travel to both Parker and Franktown locations
- Adaptability and organization to manage responsibilities across two sites
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting student assessments for special education eligibility, including cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral evaluations
- Participating in IEP and team meetings, providing expert recommendations for interventions and supports
- Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student well-being
- Contributing to the development of strategies that foster students’ academic and social-emotional growth
- Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with all state and district regulations
