Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to ensure a spotless environment
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning carpets, upholstery, and specialized floor care to uphold hygiene standards
- Manage janitorial duties including waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring restrooms are sanitized and fully stocked
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent slips, trips, and falls while using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Collaborate with the caregiving team to address specific cleanliness needs or special requests from residents or staff
- Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with health regulations
Experience
- Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles within hospitality, healthcare, or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping practices or custodial management enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service
- Hands-on experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent time management skills to efficiently complete daily tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
