Job Description
The electrical foreman is responsible for management of large and small construction projects.
This individual is responsible for various aspects of the construction management process. These duties include but are not limited to RFP review, creating and maintaining job schedules, material management, customer relations, employee management and quality control.
The electrical foreman is also responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within contracted guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.
The electrical foreman shall be well-versed in the installation of power systems including but not limited to transformers, electric panels, service disconnects, lighting, fire protection, security and data networks.
Must demonstrate the ability to effectively order and track materials, perform cost projections and develop “as builts”.
Must have strong, first-hand knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations.
Must have a solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods.
Must be comfortable utilizing Electrical Single Line blueprints.
Have experience in verifying the compliance and functionality of installations.
Knowledgeable in the identification and repair of faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
Job Duties
- Review and decipher all drawings for construction projects.
- Creating and managing job schedules, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time.
- Managing a team of employees, supervise, mentor, and motivate employees working on designated scope, evaluating progress and maintaining productivity.
- Establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis.
- Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
- Maintain direct contact with GC and other subcontractors, including the management of material and manpower.
- Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work.
- Ensure all work performed meets with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and
contract documents.
- Attend weekly meetings to update management on project statuses.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in electrical field with supervisory background
Demonstrates prioritization, organization, time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsible for enforcing and promoting high quality and safety standards on job sites
Communicate, schedule and manage day to day operations to ensure the job gets done on time and exceeds customer expectations
Supervise, mentor, and motivate employees working on designated scope
Assertive and able to negotiate change orders and contracts
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Adobe and estimating programs.
Provide proper documentation necessary to work in the U.S. (i.e. driver’s license, passport, current work visa etc.)
Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
