American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience and teaching hospital background for a 12-hour night shift position in an inpatient adult ICU and general care setting.

Inpatient setting at a large academic teaching hospital in Burlington, Vermont
-
Patient population includes adult ICU, adult general, and pediatric general units; ED experience preferred but not required
-
12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week

Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with flexibility required; no block schedules
-
No floating or charge duties required
-
No on-call required
-
Epic EMR; experience within the past 2 years is required
-
Must hold RRT credential; CRT will not be accepted

Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT

Teaching hospital experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
-
Vermont licensure not required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
-
Candidates holding a New York license may be considered with proof of pending NY licensure

At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year)

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Prior travel experience is preferred but not required

All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented within each individual employment history entry

All employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained

Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required

Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended

Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April

Weekend availability is required as needed
