Position Summary
The Spray & Accessories Technician is responsible for the proper preparation, installation, and application of LINE-X spray-on bedliners and truck accessories while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position works closely with the Lead Technician to ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with the Lead Technician to review production schedules and workload priorities.
- Prepare vehicles for LINE-X applications and accessory installations.
- Professionally apply LINE-X spray-on protective coatings according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
- Install truck accessories including, but not limited to:
- Truck toppers and camper shells
- Tonneau covers
- Trailer hitches
- Running boards and steps
- Undercoating and rust protection
- Bed protection products and other aftermarket accessories
- Wear and properly utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate parts, materials, and supply needs to management.
- Maintain accurate records of product usage and completed work.
- Keep the spray booth, installation bays, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and professional.
- Stay current on new products, installation methods, and application techniques through ongoing training.
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service while interacting with customers and coworkers.
- Assist with additional shop duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong work history demonstrating reliability and dependability.
- Automotive, body shop, paint, coatings, fabrication, or accessory installation experience is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the day.
