Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain optimal water clarity.
- Balance pool chemistry by accurately handling water treatment chemicals such as chlorine, pH adjusters, algaecides, and stabilizers to ensure safe swimming conditions.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, valves, and plumbing systems to identify issues early and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain and repair pool plumbing systems using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper water flow and system integrity.
- Conduct water testing using specialized testing kits or electronic testers to monitor chemical levels and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site visits and client appointments while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Document all maintenance activities, chemical treatments, repairs, and inspections thoroughly for record keeping and compliance purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience working with pool maintenance or in an aquatic facility environment is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pool equipment troubleshooting and repair is essential.
- Familiarity with water treatment chemical handling and pool chemistry balancing techniques is required.
- Outdoor work experience is beneficial due to the nature of the role’s environment.
- Excellent customer service skills are necessary to communicate effectively with clients and address their concerns professionally.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles safely is a must-have skill set.
- Prior experience with pool plumbing systems or aquatic facility operations will help you excel in this position.
