Junaluska Tire & Auto is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. This is a full-time position for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable working with customers, and able to help keep a busy independent repair shop running efficiently.
The Service Advisor serves as the primary connection between our customers and technicians and assists with the daily operation of the front office.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide professional, friendly service
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Create and maintain accurate repair orders
- Prepare and present repair estimates
- Explain technician findings and recommended repairs to customers
- Obtain and document customer authorization
- Coordinate repair status, parts availability, and technician workflow
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
- Follow up on open estimates, declined work, and customer concerns as needed
- Assist with ordering, receiving, verifying, and tracking parts and tires
- Help maintain parts, tire, supply, and general shop inventory
- Handle fleet customer accounts, repair authorizations, documentation, invoicing, and related communication
- Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, and service records
- Process customer payments and assist with daily front-office responsibilities
- Help maintain a clean and organized front office, customer waiting area, service counter, and other assigned work areas
- Perform other reasonable duties necessary to support the daily operation of the shop
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of automotive service advisor/service writer experience who understands the day-to-day workflow of an automotive repair shop. The right candidate should be able to prioritize multiple vehicles and customer needs, communicate clearly with technicians, follow through on open work, and provide professional customer service without high-pressure sales tactics.
Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position. We are a small team, and the Service Advisor plays a critical role in keeping our customers, technicians, and daily schedule on track.
