We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Programmer specialized in FANUC controls and 5-axis machining. You will lead out programming efforts from scratch, optimize existing programs, and work closely with our setup and machining team to bring complex designs to life. This position is part-time with the possibility of full-time employment depending on quality of work and overall contributions.
Core Responsibilities
- Programming from scratch: Develop efficient 5-axis CNC lathe programs using FANUC controls.
- Setup & Test: Verify programs through dry runs and first-article inspections.
- Optimize Workflows: Troubleshoot and refine existing programs to improve cycle times.
- Collaborate Daily: Work hand-in-hand with machinists to solve problems on the shop floor.
- Maintain Safety: Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record programming multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise with FANUC controls and 5-axis programming.
- Blueprint Mastery: Ability to read complex geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Attitude: A friendly, helpful mindset with zero ego - we win and learn as a team.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with specific CAD/CAM software ( Fushion 360 etc.)
- Experience with Manual i, Conversational Programming at machine and operations when needed.
