Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service by answering questions about baked goods, ingredients, and specials
- Package baked items efficiently while maintaining presentation quality and adhering to food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as pastry preparation, assembling baked goods, and preparing drinks.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support high-volume production of baked products
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly cleaning counters, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety and hygiene
- Support food industry best practices by following recipes accurately and managing inventory levels for baked goods and ingredients
- Restock shelves, display cases, and packaging supplies to ensure an attractive and organized bakery environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred
- Strong work ethic and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for portioning, pricing, and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Experience with baking and making custom drinks is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- High-volume production experience in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Culinary experience within the food industry that demonstrates attention to detail and recipe adherence
